Zeroth is a Brisbane-based studio that builds the systems making professional services firms run efficiently, on the tools they already use. Founder-led, deliberately small, and focused on work that actually ships and keeps running.

Why Zeroth exists

The tools were never the problem.

Zeroth started with a pattern that kept repeating inside Australian firms. The software was bought, the webinars were sat through, sometimes a consultant was even paid. Six months later the tools sat unused while the team did the work by hand. Not because the software was bad, but because nobody built it into how the firm actually works.

So that became the whole philosophy. We connect the tools a firm already owns (Xero, Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint) into one place to work, grounded in the firm's voice, its roles and a full audit trail, and automate the manual work in between. Not another platform to log into.

Everything we build, you own. The directive, the integrations, the configuration, all committed to a repository you control. No lock-in, and cancel any time. We would rather earn the next engagement than trap you in this one.

We work with a small number of firms at a time so every engagement gets real attention, from the first workshop through to the live handover and beyond.

Peter McEvey

Peter spent the early part of his career as a mechanical engineer in the Australian Defence Force. Upon discharge he moved into the defence industry, taking on roles across systems engineering, integrated logistics support and reliability engineering. Work that comes down to one thing: turning complex systems into simplicity.

He founded Zeroth after finding that professional services firms were falling rapidly behind what AI and automation can now achieve. He kept seeing the same pattern: teams buying tools and licences that never turn into anything running, so six months on the tools sit unused and the work is still being done by hand. Zeroth exists to close that gap, by building the systems into how a firm actually works.

Peter works hands-on across every engagement, from the first workshop through to the live handover. No sales engineers, no handoff to a delivery team you never met. When you work with Zeroth, you work with the person who builds it.

He is based in Brisbane and works with firms across Australia.
